Hi, I’m Dianqing Lin 🙋! My research interests lie in Natural Language Processing, with a current focus on AI for AI and AI agents. Previously, I worked on large language models, multilingual and multicultural NLP, and machine translation. I’m always excited to collaborate on research and open-source projects. Other Experience

Before I began my research journey, I worked in education, hospitality, and e-commerce. These experiences shaped how I think about technology: building useful products takes more than technical sophistication—it also requires understanding people’s needs, thoughtful product design, and effective sales and communication.

• Summer Breaks, 2020–2024, Education Industry · Intern → Education Consultant → Team Lead
  • Worked in education during five consecutive summer breaks, growing from an intern to coordinating around 20 people within a team of over 40. Working closely with the two founders, I helped with recruitment, onboarding, and task allocation, learning a great deal about communication and teamwork along the way.
• Winter and Summer Breaks, 2016–2018, Waiter
  • Worked as a waiter during high school breaks, mostly to spend time with classmates and earn some extra money. 🤣 Along the way, I learned to listen to customers and pay attention to the small details that make good service.
• 2013–2015; 2017–2018, Early Business Ventures
  • From 2013 to 2015, I ran a small Taobao store at the start of middle school, getting my first taste of e-commerce and the excitement of earning my own money. In 2017–2018, I tried selling a different product category through social media, though this time I ended up losing money. I sometimes wonder where these ventures might have led had I kept going—but I’m happy that my path eventually brought me to NLP, LLMs, and AI agents. 🙂
